Question why do new homes often not come with exhaust fans in the laundry? The only reason I can come up with is the expense, the cost of an exhaust fan ceiling mounted is approximately $175. Considering the condensation created by dryers it seems to be a no brainer to install one. I would suggest you ask your new home builder to install one.
